More than any other grape, Sauvignon Blanc seems to channel the Golden State’s abundant sunshine, ocean breezes and wild, open spaces in a wine that drinks just as easy as the state’s laid back lifestyle. Season’s Tweetings Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and vibrant on the palate, yet also has a backbone of acidity to add structure and focus to the wine. The aromas soar from the glass – citrus, apple, tropical fruit, grassy tones. In the mouth, the focus is on the fruit, with lemon peel, Granny Smith apple, passion fruit and herbaceous notes fanning out across the palate, ending with a crushed rock minerality and plenty of verve. A beautifully delineated wine that becomes even more so when paired with food.

Perhaps because of the fact that the great Sauvignon Blancs of France are labeled by location and not variety (Sancerre, Sauternes, Pouilly-Fumé), or perhaps because of its propensity to be blended with other white grapes, Sauvignon Blanc simply doesn’t get the credit it’s due.
That doesn’t mean, however, that Sauvignon Blanc hasn’t played a crucial role in the history of fine wine. Apart from the great wines it has produced, Sauvignon Blanc was crossed with Cabernet Franc in the 1750’s to create…you guessed it…Cabernet Sauvignon! Thus, whether directly through its production or indirectly through its genetic lineage, Sauvignon Blanc truly is an extraordinary grape variety. WINEMAKING PROCESS: Unlocking the magic of Sauvignon Blanc begins on the crushpad, where Season’s Tweetings grapes are gently pressed, then immediately transferred to a temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation tank. Aging takes place in stainless steel while taking great pains to protect against oxidation and to preserve freshness and aromatics, before the wine is bottled on our state-of-the-art bottling line.
